Latest On Shipping Delays

To Our Customers,

Some of you may be experiencing significant delays in delivery of your orders. These delays are due to an inventory system changeover at the North American distribution center of the Luxottica Group, the manufacturer/distributor of Ray-Ban and other premium brands to include:

  • Ray-Ban sunglasses and optical frames
  • Persol
  • Burberry
  • Dolce & Gabbana
  • D&G
  • Prada
  • Versace
  • Anne Klein
  • Brooks Brothers
  • DKNY
  • Polo
  • Ralph Lauren
  • Ralph by Ralph Lauren
Luxottica is the sole supplier of these brands to all retailers in North America.

Under normal circumstances, Goodden's maintains a consistent flow of products from Luxottica to our own warehouse through prearranged stock orders supplemented by custom orders as the need arises. We track the status of these orders through a direct link to Luxottica's inventory and shipping systems.

In late March, Luxottica notified its retailers that they would be undergoing a system changeover that was expected to impact operations from March 31 through April 18. To prepare for that, we placed a large stock order and were able to ride out that period with little disruption. Unfortunately, things have not gone as planned for Luxottica and problems with the new system, particularly with the inventory and shipping modules,  persist. We are in contact with them daily to try to accurately assess the situation.

At this point, we calculate that about 10% of our customers are experiencing shipping delays of up to 3 weeks due to this issue. We regret the inconvenience and are doing our best to keep people informed.

Should you elect to purchase your product elsewhere, we strongly advise that you contact the seller directly and verify that they have the item in hand. As can be seen here, other retailers are having the same problem, because we all get our supply from Luxottica.

We expect that Luxottica will have these issues resolved in the near future and things will get back to normal. Until then, we regret any inconvenience and will of course provide a prompt refund at our customers request.
